Toni Morrison real name was Chloe Anthony Wofford who was born on the 18th of February, 1931. She was popularly known as Toni Morrison. Her first novel was “The Bluest Eye” which was published in 1970. She wrote another one titled Song of Solomon in 1977, this was the edition that gave her respect and made her global where she won the National Attention Book Critics Circle Award.

Morrison also won the Pulitzer Prize for Beloved (1987); she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993 which was known nationally. Morrison was Born and raised in Lorain, Ohio, And she also graduated from Howard University in 1953 with a B.A. in English. She also earned a master’s degree in American Literature from Cornell University in 1955 which was her greatest Zeal.

In 1957 she returned to Howard University, was married, and had two children before divorcing in 1964. Morrison was the first black female editor in fiction at Random House in New York City in the late 1960s. She worked on her own reputation as an author in the 1970s and ’80s.

Her book titled “Beloved” was played and made into a film in 1998. Morrison’s played a good part for addressing the harsh consequences of racism, trying to end racism in the United States and the Black American experience.
