Dispatch reported on December 31 that the couple had been dating for four months. Dispatch claims that the couple first met on “Inkigayo” a decade ago and that their friendship eventually blossomed into love.
According to the dispatch, IU and Lee Jong Suk spent Christmas together at a premium resort in Nagoya, Japan. Lee Jong Suk allegedly flew IU and her younger brother to Japan first, arranged for a pick-up service at the airport, and then joined them for the rest of their trip.
The story claims that the families of both people involved know about the relationship. IU is well-known for singing the wedding song at Lee Jong Suk’s younger brother’s wedding earlier this year, and Lee Jong Suk personally invited IU’s younger brother along on their Christmas holiday.
